Super cheap Spanish getaway!

Looking for a cheap getaway to somewhere hot for Spring, Summer or Autumn? Look no further than Spain! As you may know, at the start of April, I went on holiday to Cabo Roig in Spain for a week and due to how cheap it as, I can't recommend it enough...

Cabo Roig is a town near to Alicante and Murcia airports so is easily accessible. It's in the area of Orihuela in Costa Blanca on the East coast of Spain. If you're wanting to go away in Spring or Autumn you can get some really cheap flight deals to Alicante or Murcia airport; for example our flights were just over £100 each return!

The area of Cabo Roig is ideal for a relaxing week away in the sun. With beautiful beaches, plenty of bars and restaurants and constant sunshine, what more could you want? We went down to Cabo Roig beach most mornings which was really nice, even if the sea was pretty chilly! There is also another beach nearby that you can get the bus to called La Zenia which is very popular. However the beach we went to was only a ten minute walk away from where we were staying!

The strip was also only a few minutes walk away with so many restaurants to choose from! Food was really cheap with lots of places doing 3 course meals for €10 or less! You could get a full English breakfast for as little as €3 - crazy! One of our favourite places was an English ran restaurant called 'The Orange Tree' where the portions were huuuge and very English! It was really nice and cheap with lovely food. We also went to a Mexican which was great, two Italians, an Indian and a Chinese buffet! So you really are spoilt for choice.

There’s a local market every Thursday with all sorts of fruit, veg and pastries as well as clothes, handbags and all sorts of random things! There’s also a big shopping centre nearby called La Zenia Boulevard with all sorts of shops including Primark, Zara, H&M and Mango and also plenty of restaurants too!

Cabo Roig is close to the town of Torrevieja which is a nice place to go for a day out. There’s a market and fun fair which are great fun in the evening, and there are lots of restaurants and bars along the sea front. I went to an amazing shop called ‘Ale-Hop’ with a big cow outside, which you can't miss! It was right up my street and sold lots of girly patterned items such as flip flops, make up bags and anklets – so I definitely recommend going!

We stayed in an apartment in Cabo Roig which was ideally located just a five minute walk away from the strip, yet was far enough away so as not to hear any noise at night. It was a ten minute walk away from the beach and a close to little supermarkets down the strip. The apartment was set in a quiet complex of apartments with two pools available to use. The apartments in this area are really cheap to stay in for a week and there are lots that are available! If you’re interested, look into La Zenia Golf 4, Cabo Roig to see what’s available :-)

If you’re wanting a cheap holiday, Cabo Roig is definitely the place to go, especially in Spring or Autumn because this makes the accommodation and flights super cheap! The area is a lot quieter than in the Summer, making it a peaceful and relaxing getaway!
